  Executive Assistant to CEO

Organization Background

  • Rebuilding Together Houston (RTH) is a Community Revitalization organization that repairs homes at no cost for low income senior citizens, US military veterans and people with disabilities in Houston and Harris County.  RTH’s aim is to create safe and healthy housing. Over its 36 year history, RTH has delivered $125 MM in home repair services to 12,800 families. Rebuilding Together Houston doubles the value of every donated dollar by engaging over 5000 volunteers a year.
  • RTH has 22 employees (full-time/part-time, often including AmeriCorps and other fellows) and consultants and construction contractors. The annual budget is $5 MM +.
  • Oversight of RTH, a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization incorporated in the State of Texas, is by an all-volunteer board of directors with 24-27 members, most of whom are senior executives from leading corporations throughout the Houston area.
  • RTH has long been the largest affiliate in a 135 national affiliate network.


  • Acts as a liaison between the CEO and all other Rebuilding Together Houston (RTH) staff.
  • Track office details such as management of information and contacts via Salesforce (CRM), as well as scheduling multiple business calendars.
  • Provide administrative support for CEO and Chief of Staff during confidential strategic planning and budgeting sessions
  • Prepare and submit CEO and Chief of Staff credit card reconciliations and expense reimbursement reports.
  • Conduct research and work with RTH staff to ensure timely submission of reports, funding requests and other analytical reports.
  • Coordinate team meetings and special events.
  • Anticipate, prioritize and prepare the CEO and Chief of Staff for travel, daily meetings and presentations.
  • Compose routine correspondence.


  • Bachelor Degree and at least three (3) years of related experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Google.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly resourceful team player with the ability to also be extremely effective independently.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Compensation range of $40,000 - $50,000, based on level of experience and skill level includes:
  • Salary competitive with like positions within the Houston not-for profit sector
  • A stipend of $5,040/year due to lack of health insurance
  • Dental and life insurance benefits
  • Twelve holidays annually
  • Three weeks of vacation annually
